The experience includes structured student leadership roles, with trained Grade 7/8 students supporting station flow and team organization under the supervision of the Le Jardin Français facilitator and school staff.

Designed as a whole-school experience for French Immersion settings. The program emphasizes sustained oral interaction, collaborative problem-solving, and authentic use of French across all stations and activities.

Pre-Event Coordination
The lead teacher coordinates student groupings and logistics in advance of the event, including organizing students into 16 mixed-grade teams, preparing a simple map outlining the 8 activity stations, and communicating with the Le Jardin Français facilitator prior to the event.
Morning Arrival & Setup
The Le Jardin Français facilitator arrives on site to complete setup of stations, materials, and shared spaces prior to student participation.
Grade 7/8 Student Leader Training
A group of 24 intermediate students is selected to support the event (16 team leaders and 8 station leaders). These students receive brief training on the morning of the event to review expectations, roles, and station flow.
Kickoff Assembly
The day begins with a school-wide assembly introducing the event theme, key French vocabulary, expectations, and station rotations.
Nutrition Break
A scheduled break aligned with the school timetable.
Rotating Interactive Stations
Students rotate through a series of facilitated French cultural stations focused on games, movement, art, music, and collaborative challenges. Timing and groupings are adjusted based on school size and program model.
Lunch / Nutrition Break
A scheduled break aligned with the school timetable.
Afternoon Rotations or Extended Stations
Additional station rotations or extended engagement time, depending on school size and scheduling needs.
Closing Gathering
A brief closing session brings the whole school together to celebrate participation, reinforce key language, and conclude the experience as a shared school event.
The program is designed to run smoothly within the school day, with Le Jardin Français managing program delivery and schools supporting supervision in line with existing routines.
Identifying a lead contact to support scheduling and communication
Grouping participating students according to school context and routines
Providing a simple site map indicating station locations and shared spaces
Selecting intermediate student leaders on the day of the event
Supporting student supervision during rotations, transitions, nutrition breaks, and lunch, in accordance with school policies
Assisting with setup and takedown of audio/visual equipment for kickoff and closing assemblies
Taking photos during the event for use in the end-of-day celebration assembly
Pre-event planning and coordination, including communication with the school’s lead teacher to confirm logistics, schedule, and school context
Preparation, setup, and provision of all materials, stations, and activity spaces required for the program
Facilitation of student leader orientation and role clarification on the day of the event
Provision of communication tools (e.g., walkie-talkies) for student station leaders
